Copy Trading in Prop Firm Accounts
Some prop firms allow traders to duplicate their trades across multiple accounts, a practice known as copy trading. This can be useful for scaling strategies or managing multiple accounts efficiently.
- How It Works:
- A master account executes trades.
- Trades are automatically copied to follower accounts in real-time.
- Limits Vary by Firm:
- Some firms allow copying to 5 accounts.
- Others, like Apex Trader Funding, allow up to 20 accounts.
- Benefits:
- Efficiently manage multiple funded accounts.
- Scale profitable strategies without manually trading each account.
How I do Copy Trading?
I primarily use Apex Trader Funding, I trade multiple accounts in few different ways
- Trade same number of contracts across all Accounts (i.e 5 Contracts x 10 Accounts)
- Trade regular size in half of the accounts and trade double the size in other half of the accounts (i.e 5 Contracts x 5 Accounts and 10 Contracts x 5 Accounts)
You can either use Tradovate built in copier to trade multiple accounts or Copying add on for NinjaTrader
